F5 Twister Wood Lathe was designed and built by Scott Fredrickson in 2003. This wood lathe is capable of turning a max of 42” in diameter and 27” in length. The lathe measures 54” x 50” x 51” tall. The machine is powered by a 1.5 hp 3-phase reversible electric motor @ 1750rpm. It is controlled by a 3hp variable speed drive. The shaft is threaded at 1.125” @ 8tpi and the lathe weighs a little over 1100lbs.
